I work on fiction and non-fiction books for children through to adults, and I can take on structural and developmental editing as well as copyediting. My work has covered a wide variety of genres including commercial crime fiction, music biographies, sports books, history titles, science, economics, philosophy and literary fiction. 

 

If you’re a non-fiction editor looking for someone to work on a specific subject, I have extensive knowledge of geology, music, movies, snowboarding, skateboarding and retro video-games.

 

When working on a book I always make sure that the author’s voice comes through and isn’t lost in the editing process. Every book is different, and I take the time to adapt my approach to suit the writer’s style.

 

I am also an experienced magazine sub-editor, having spent many years working on a wide variety of special-interest titles.

I use Word, InDesign and Acrobat, and I am able to work on hard copy or use PDF mark-up tools for proofreading.
